In addition to offering an educational program as an eligible facility, The Joshua School is licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services as a Day Treatment Center. Students attending The Joshua School receive both educational and day treatment services as part of a coordinated plan. Family counseling in the form of parent nights and home consultation provide support and guidance to families (see Home Consultation). Individual sessions and groups with Mental Health Workers target behavior, daily living skills, interpersonal and social skills, self-awareness, self-advocacy and other important skills that assist students in managing their day.
